The ‘Boot Camp’ of Indoctrination Boggess highlights a significant hurdle for newly elected officials who enter office hoping to spark change. Upon election, board members are subjected to immersion training by the National Association of School Boards of Education and the Utah State Boards Association. Boggess describes these sessions as a “boot camp” of indoctrination and intimidation.
